Trust me, when you start using square wave drums, there's no going back.

Hi Famitracker. Long time no see! Despite having been caught up with work, family matters and having had paronychia surgery on top of dealing with chronic procrastination, I dusted off this ftm which has been dormant for several months and finally completed it. Remember the Woolyss website? This son...

Have the old forums not been archived? It would be great to have a link to the old forums just for archival purposes.

Re: Post your instruments here!
Here's a collection of PCM samples from Rob Hubbard's C64 titles, ripped and converted for DPCM use by yours truly and ready to use.
FTM examples and NSF exports may or not be included as well.

Re: Do the SN76489 and 2A03 have different ways of handling volume?
Your best option is to use the 5B because it's got the same sort of volume curve as the SN76489. Doesn't the 5B (YM2149) use logarithmic volumes, though? So does the SN76489. Out of sheer curiosity, I rewrote this VGM from the SMS game The Flash into a 5B track, and because the track had to be tran...

You know what this forum needs outside of more undermemes? More Huelsbeck goodness.
Original if you want it for some reason
Made with 0.5.0b5, obviously.

Re: Hopefully more active Famicom Hardware Recordings thread
Can you record The Rite of Spring for 275 seconds if you're up for it? It uses the N163 expansion and uses all of the chip's 8 channels. It clocks in at exactly 273.8 seconds and doesn't loop. This NSF was compiled with 0.5.0 b5. Something leads me to believe that 5b5 has issues with N163 export as...

Seeing this thread reminds me of this thing I made aver a year ago.
It felt really unpolished so I ironed it out a bit.
