Re: Polyphonic math

Yeah, but the Discord channels are more or less chatrooms. The forums are more sophisticated for showing off your work, in my opinion, because you can make a separate thread for each project. On Discord you'd post it and say "Hey, check out what I made" and it's quite possible that everyon...

Re: Version 0.5 preview

The point here is to make it "legal" to post 0CC files on these forums. Because if jsr really doesn't come back to Famitracker, while 0CC gets new releases, what would be the point in restricting ourselves? This is what I was talking about.

Re: Polyphonic math

I don't use it cause even though you can save your project as an FTM file, they won't work in vanilla. So when I post it on the forums, people, who don't have 0CC will open it and it wouldn't work right for them. And I don't like releasing just NSF files. If it weren't for that, I would've stopped u...

Re: Composing Duet Vocals in Famitracker?

That is a very good idea. I tried doing something similar, when making a failed cover of "2 Minutes to Midnight" by Iron Maiden. The pitch changes I made there were very drastic though. They were supposed to emulate the more rash vocals, but it didn't translate well into a chiptune or any ...

Re: Version 0.5 preview

Should we just make 0CC official? I haven't been on the forums for a while, but it seems jsr is still missing. I don't know if we'll ever get a complete version of 0.5

Re: Polyphonic math

Indeed it would, but I suppose you wouldn't be able to play more than 2 notes at a time (unless the instrument is for an expansion chip). Also, I don't know whether anything will be implemented, cause there have been no updates on the beta version of Famitracker 0.5 for a while now.

Re: Composing Duet Vocals in Famitracker?

Yeah, trying to replicate vocals with chiptune instruments is not an easy task. I do think, however, that you have done a pretty good job. There aren't as many repeating notes here, so it doesn't really get stale. But, yeah, this topic is interesting. Does anyone have ideas or a certain way they go ...

Re: (2A03) Mistakes were made [0.5 BETA]

Great song! Though, you know, it doesn't show emotional distress much... or mistakes being made ;) It reminds me of exploring vast plains in a fantasy world. Would be perfect for an action platformer with RPG elements or something. Good Job!

Re: Judgement Day [VRC7]

I listened to the second version. This is pretty good. The rhythm is still off at times (the beginning, especially), but other than that it's slow and somber and very well done. I suppose these days we've all been feeling a bit sad, have we?
