Instruments become linked in editor

This happens sometimes in vanilla FT (0.4.6) and even more egregiously in 00c (3.14.4) where two instruments will, inexplicably, become impossible to edit separately. They'll essentially be the same instrument, but with a different name, and if I try to change one, the other will change too, so it's...

Raspberry pi and 2ao3 chip?

I'm no computer hardware engineer, but I was just curious. Would it be possible, in any way, to hook up a Raspberry Pi to the raw 2ao3 sound chip, and make sound using that directly?

Sound stuttering when connected to TV?

So, I sometimes hook up my laptop to my TV via HDMI, just because i can, and I like using a big screen, but for some reason, at least sometimes, when I do this, Famitracker doesn't run smoothly. It stutters, to a degree that I can't just ignore. Is this something I can fix? I mean, i'm not stupid, I...

Re: Cover Methods

1) Anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks. School takes up a lot of my time and my energy, and motivation is kind of hard to come by for me. Sometimes when I'm working on a song, I'll have days where I don't even look at it. The one I'm working on right now is really long and complex, and so tha...

Ok, I think I'm getting it. Is "rate" measured in Hz?

(also, thank you folks so much for the help!)

Re: [VRC6]The 8-Bit Commandments (Hamilton remix)

I might do some more. The whole soundtrack though, that's an undertaking I'm not sure I'm ready to undertake!

Most developers in the 3ds scene use the windows 3ds emulator Citra, for testing :)

Emulating Linux on an emulation of the 3DS on Windows.... the layers don't stop from getting deeper

[VRC6]The 8-Bit Commandments (Hamilton remix)

So that makes this... Broadway, Hip-Hop, AND Chiptune? Nice. If you're not aware, which those of you outside the US might be, Hamilton is a hip-hop musical on Broadway, it's kind of a big deal here right now Now I'm a little nervous posting the source FTM of this, just because I'm a bit paranoid, bu...

Re: Tempo & Speed simpler than the wiki implies?

Hmm, okay so, just so I know I'm getting this right: Tempo/Speed has to be an integer for it to have absolutely no lagging notes? It sure would be nice to have a coherent equation for that on the wiki, instead of multiple disparate equations, some of which have inconsistent units (the one explaining...

Tempo & Speed simpler than the wiki implies?

So, I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, since I'm fairly new to the scene, and VERY new to these forums, but the Famitracker wiki makes changing the Tempo value seem like a big no-no. It basically tells you that you HAVE to keep the tempo 150 (or 125, but does anybody actually use PAL) and use...
