Re: 0xx bug

Yeah, some effects are mutually exclusive and it is not well-documented which ones. There is NO easy way to pitchbend an arpeggio mainly because an arpeggio is measured in semitones while pitch is measured in frequency (aka the raw values given to the 2A03 sound chip, which are on a non-logarithmic ...

Re: Add arrangement markers

Do you mean an option to just add your own text (comments, tags, etc.) to a row in the module? I agree this could be a useful feature in compositions. But then ... how would it be displayed in the UI? Would it be best done per channel, per pattern, or per frame?

Re: Notes Duplicating Across All Frames

Do you have a screenshot or sample file where this is happening?

Re: Could not save file: an unnamed file contains an incorrect path.

If it is specific to that one computer that already implies the problem is with that one computer and not FamiTracker's fault. In which case we can really only offer generic ideas ... like, have you tried running an error-check on the hard drive? (Exact steps will vary by your OS version.)

Re: [N163]Battle Against a True Hero

I agree, the latter segment of the song does sound weird. For frames 25 onward specifically, it's because all your staccatos (note cuts) line up perfectly across almost all channels, so instead of having a fast-paced flowing feel (like the original) it feels choppy. Maybe instead of doing note cuts ...

Re: Make a GameBoy mode

Unfortunately FamiTracker is a 2A03 (Famicom/NES) editor first and foremost, and the GB is not a Famicom (despite the close similarity in soundchips). Now you can use existing features/expansion chips to emulate the audio capabilities of a different system, but exactly how is something you have to d...

Re: Fade out/in effect not working?

Steve wrote:I just tried the fade effect and it worked. No idea why that's been happening, but whatever.

And were you basically just doing the same thing as before except now it works?

That's the worst kind of problem to have -- where it just seems to appear and disappear for no apparent reason.

Re: Fade out/in effect not working?

Well... unless we can see firsthand how you're actually using the effect, all we can do is guess at conceptual answers. Like: - Remember that volume fade affects channel volume not output volume. If you're trying to fade-in an instrument whose sustain volume isn't F, (e.g. you do have an instrument ...

Re: Fade out/in effect not working?

As of now, I don't have any fade in/out effects in the file... Okay ... no problem ... that's only just LITERALLY THE ONE VERY THING I ABSOLUTELY NEEDED TO SEE FIRSTHAND TO UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM! :x *headdesk* Sorry for the rant. But seriously, we can't help if you don't actually show us the probl...

Re: Fade out/in effect not working?

Can you attach a new copy of the file in its 'isn't working' state? It worked for me when I tried it myself, so unless I can compare notes with what you're doing, that's all the help I have.
