Re: [20A3] 11 theme songs + more of varied completion rate for 1 or 2 linked games

Thanks! :) Haha, i didn't exactly sell it, did i? "duds"... "varying completion".. and so on. I suppose that one is the most elaborate one (to the point i can't stand listening to it any more... need some distance and let my ears rest from it). Anyway, i thought it might be of mo...

[20A3] 11 theme songs + more of varied completion rate for 1 or 2 linked games

Hey guys, long time no see. I've secretly been working on an NES homebrews' soundtrack, but there's no need for the secrecy anymore because it's not part of a compo at this point. So i present to you 11 more or less finished songs and some extra duds for a game (possibly 2, actually) with a gothic f...

beta NSF driver?

Is there a separate driver to the beta available (0.5.0)? I'm looking for anything with the assumed YM2149.s extension, really.

Re: NES game "Wrecking Balls" soundtrack (2A03)

Thanks! Sure can. :) It's a four player versus game based on good old bomberman. It has an "angry" theme, hence the metal/rock influence. You play as one of four angry fuzzy balls looking to wreck the others. Hence the name. It's part of the soon-annual NESdev competition ; hence the 16kB ...

Re: NES game "Wrecking Balls" soundtrack (2A03)

Updated the OP with a new version containing one more song. Any thoughts, comments?
(I know it's kind of hard to leave constructive tips when the songs are meant for a custom NES driver with different restrictions than the open-ended FamiTracker one).

Re: My Kill Must Glow: Sting Wave - Preview

I'd recommend uploading mp3:s to a soundcloud account in that case. A nes file made with famitracker will still use the famitracker driver, and the format will be identical and extractable if someone really wanted it.

Re: Battle the Machine [2A03; no DPCM]

I agree with the caller. Good song, and it conveys a specific setting well. Perhaps missing a little backing in the low end. You could try placing bass notes on 04, 0C, 14, and 1C in a pattern; it will provide a basic framework to work with without interfering with the kicks or the roboticness. Usin...

This is great! <3 If don't have anything constructive to say, it's because i'm busy enjoying the vibe.

Re: First FT song, and first post (2A03)

Won't make promises yet, but it or other songs i do *might* end up in a game eventually. I got graphics (a few samples: 1 , 2 , 3 ) and assembling functioning binaries for the nes figured out, but writing orientable and structured code for the nes is a big chapter to chew through for me, let alone m...
