Tobal No. 1 - Disused Mine (Chuji's theme) (VRC6)

In 1996, Squaresoft released Tobal No. 1 , a Tekken clone with characters designed by the artist of Dragon Ball . The game had eight composers, and I don't know which of them was responsible for "Disused Mine" (Chuji's theme) . Nearly 10 years ago, I covered that piece in ModPlug Tracker. ...

Re: FamiTracker wiki accounts

What mechanism is there (or shall be introduced) for users with only an account on the new forum to suggest changes to pages on the old wiki for review by users with an account on the old forum?

Inspector K - Disconnected

"Disconnected" by Inspector K, from the video game In the Groove

Arpeggio on a 2A03 sounds like a telephone for a reason. Listen to hear why.

Re: Can a highly compressed DPCM sample be loud?

At rate 10 (12604 Hz) the wave is 2401 bytes. At rate 11 (13983 Hz) the wave is 2657 bytes but is effectively silent after 2513 bytes. I chose rate 11 for these tests. The "gain" option in FamiTracker's converter boosts a wave by a given number of decibels before conversion. The drawback o...

Key signature

the good thing about hookpad is that it seems i can hold my notes to a key of the song, while when trying to make a original song without something like that it can be road off This wouldn't be a bad idea for FamiTracker either. For each song, the user would specify a key signature (e.g. G major or...

10.2.2. (S3M and 2A03 versions)

I composed a fakebit piano ambient piece in ModPlug Tracker in August 2006. It was my attempt to imitate the style of "5.1.1." by DJ Nagureo ( RemyWiki | YouTube ), a Beatmania IIDX song that also appeared in Dance Dance Revolution Extreme . I was intending to make steps for it in StepMani...

Z - Maxx Unlimited

Thankfully, Konami ended the DDR GB series before it could make an 8-bit butchering of Z's "Maxx Unlimited" ( RemyWiki | YouTube ), the boss song from DDRMAX2: Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix . Its standard chart is my least favorite of the three classic Maxes (300, Unl, Legend) for its for...

PARANOiA from Dance Dance Revolution (2A03)

"PARANOiA" by 180 (alias of Naoki ) is one of the two hardest songs from the first Dance Dance Revolution . ( RemyWiki ; YouTube ) But with the overall inflation in boss song difficulty over the course of the DDR series, it's now considered one of the easier songs. Konami tried to cover it...

Re: Scrap Brain Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog (MS/GG)) [VRC6]

I didn't listen to your other Sonic 1 (Game Gear) covers, so I'm not 100% sure of your goals here. Are you trying to make it sound as if it were an NES game, or are you trying to make it sound exactly as it did on the Game Gear? ⋅ Why'd you leave the triangle channel blank? The only NES ga...
