Re: Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Angel Island Zone Act II [2A03]

I like how much detail you've managed to retain with just the two pulse channels, nicely done!

Re: Version 0.5 preview

That is the case unless you happen to select Dual compatibility mode for your exported NSF. In this case, the exported NSF attempts to play a PAL song with tempo 150, to approximate NTSC speed instead of using 125 for the tempo as the default PAL speed. You need to select which region you want it to...

Re: n106 error or glitch i dont know..

If you use a size 32 triangle wave, you can also use the same wave position and a length of 16 to get a sawtooth out of the same wave memory as well. By literally chopping the triangle in half. If you design your waves with overlapping sections in mind, it can be helpful with a limited wave space.

Eek The Cat (SNES) - HallowEEK 2A03

This has been part of my wet dreams for a while now and I took the time to cover it finally... the sound design is not as advanced as it could be because I might eventually use this in a ROM hack.

Two suggestions

I couldn't think of a better title because my two requests have zero to do with eachother. 1. Make a special value for fixed arps, like KEY or something, which allows you to include the currently pressed key from the pattern in the sequence. Example: K K 32 31 29 28 This would play the note from the...

Re: Non-linear mixing applies after playback stops

I've noticed a similar trend with N163 channels, but there I could recreate this simply by testing my instruments in normal mode and not actually laying down notes. Sometimes there's a peculiar low-pass filter-like effect on the note.

Re: Mega Man Ultra - Wily 3 Rendition

You can't say it's inaccurate that's for sure, because this Kraid's theme rendition in that hack has no echo on Pulse 2.

I also suggest giving credit, but personally anything from me is fine to take. I only grrr when I see people taking my own melodic DPCM sets without giving credit.

Re: MMC5 PCM

MMC5 PCM does sound pretty specific, but is that so with VRC7 FM? Many emulators have horribly incorrect fixed patches, though I'm not sure if that stems from the lack of properly known register values at the time of their last update, or improper FM emulation in the first place (some do play custom...

Re: Have made a melody but sounds not quite right

You don't actually have to go too far with the VRC7 to make a nice sounding organ as long as you are willing to sacrifice 2 channels for it.

But I don't think I can do it well
