Re: Tips for Nacmo 163?

I don't have a problem with using the N163 wavetables, I just don't know which region of a WAV sample I should convert to MML values on Audacity.
I get somewhat satisfying results with this WAV file but I'd like to git gud at it.

This project contains the wav I used for the instrument

Re: Tips for Nacmo 163?

I was about to make a new thread but I felt this question would belong to this topic as well, so here goes. How does one go about making samples faithful to the source using the wavetable? I use Furrykef's waveform analyzer on Audacity, but even then the samples I use are too long to fit in 16 32-b...

Re: Fairytale Land (SEGA Master System Soundfont)

This is more akin to an AY-3-8910 composition, though the volume control in channel 1, frame 01 wouldn't work in a chip using logarithmic volume control (also used by the SN76489 for that matter).

Also nice little piece, almost gives a Rainbow Islands vibe.

Re: Favorite soundchip?

My fav has to be the 5B for a couple reasons: -Gimmick! has my all-time favorite Famicom soundtrack. -The YM2149F chip is also hosted on the Atari ST. I was lucky enough to have an STe as the family computer back when I was a wee lad, so much so that it became a defining part of my childhood. We'd a...

Re: Classic Chips (classical music album)

>classical music covers

My brethren of African descent!
I'm liking the way common NES game music tropes blends with the classical pieces.

I'm still pondering the question of how a NES cover of Thus Spoke Zarathustra or the Toccata and Fugue in D minor would sound like...

Mojitone/Macromaniac's cover dump

Hey everyone, Macromaniac here, I just went with a more pleasant name and I'm going to post with this name from now on. This is a dump of some of my previous work I posted over on the old forums. Smash TV Typical JT goodness for the C64, comes with both vanilla 2A03 or MMC5 extension (transposed bec...
