Re: making songs with different sound settings

The fact is, some settings do pose problems in emulation and sometimes for listeners: > Exactly what is the volume gain of the FDS channel or the N163 channels? For the FDS, different hardware have different volume gains, while for N163 channels, different games have different volume gains. > N163 n...

Re: Post your first Famitracker music you've ever created here. Either original or cover

ahahahahahaha first one is my most recent song, second is my first song. huge improvements. The good old B-sharp major. Seriously, when certain songs are deliberately covered in that style the result can be downright hilarious. For the 'most recent song' though, there's one part where the squares a...

Re: Cover Methods

This topic should be moved to General Talk. 1. It depends. Fastest - 2 hours (though with more edits later. Excluding cheap stuff like troll works or 'stereotypical 8-bit' works); Longest - 2 months (typically Famicaloid stuff) 2. I listen by ear. Sometimes I would need Dolby Advanced Audio to figur...

Re: Pxx Tecnique?

afaik, FT's default pitch settings (or at least 2a03) tries to stay closest to A440 tuning. Using a not so accurate tuning is not prefered, though only slightly changing the pitch values of the lower pitched notes doesn't make much of a difference. (Games like Makaimura/Ghosts n Goblins are examples...

Re: The Blank Instrument

I've written a few ftms that only use a blank instrument. It can make some stuff simpler but sometimes you end up having to do crazy stuff to compensate for the lack of instruments (which I end up doing here a bit). I've got used to covering in speed 1 and using mainly blank instruments for pulse &...

Re: Attempted N163 Vocals

Consonants like S & T can be simulated with N163 if you have the right samples. In this module it seems that you aren't sampling the voices in the right way. Advice: >It's best to use 64-step waveforms, especially for consonants. >SAMPLE MORE. You're using the same waveform for multiple vowels, ...

Re: [0.5.0][VRC7 Only]Super Mario Bros. - Overworld

@LZ:强烈建议不要使用官方beta。在有0CC FT作为替代品的情况下,我认为没有任何理由使用官方版:只要不用附加功能,0CC所生成的FTM能与官方兼容,而目前官方beta的FTM不能向后兼容。

Anyway, creative usage of VRC7, though please notice that the VRC7 is too loud in this module (FT seems to lower the master volume more when there are more channels)

Re: SN5B Vocal simulation

I can understand DPCM speech more clearly, and that takes a tenth of the effort this does. What's so new about DPCM vocals anyway? The techniques of the NSFs in this post should most likely be used as tech demostration. I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble here, but all these vocal simulations fee...
