Re: What makes a song fun to cover for you?

Yeah I know that feeling. I've been trying to cover Bouy Base Galaxy, and I just can't seem to get it right. "Bouy" Base Galaxy can be covered with at least four channels. It may be worth filtering out higher/lower frequencies to get a better sense of the polyphony; time-stretching is als...

Re: What makes a song fun to cover for you?

Whether a song (or any other piece of music) is "fun" to cover is purely situational. If a piece of music is enjoyable, I may enjoy making that cover. If a piece of music is a challenge, I may enjoy making that cover. If a piece of music is easy to cover, I may enjoy making it. Time signat...

I have attached the FamiTracker Module that member attempted to link to you.

I would advise against divulging personal messages.

No.

Create a cover in the manner suggested by w7n, then use HertzDevil's FTM2MID, then convert that MIDI through GXSCC.

Re: Mega Man 11 OST-in-progress

I am taking the steps that MegaPhilX took during the early stages of the development of Megaman Unlimited; I am calling my game "eleven" until I create a name I feel is satisfactory. (MegaPhilX called his game Mega Man 10 until the actual Mega Man 10 was announced by Capcom. I will change...

Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Angel Island Zone Act II [2A03]

Probably my last 2A03 cover from this game.

The FTM was created in 0CC-FamiTracker 0.3.11(r1), hence why the NSF is attached.

YouTube upload; Soundcloud upload.

Re: [0.5 Beta 5] Woodentoaster - Rainbow Factory Cover

The tempo is unstable without changing the clock speed to a rate of 59.20(31)-59.21(36) Hz. The custom NSF rate values are 16888-16891.

These changes have little effect on instrumentation.

Re: Working on an OST - Constructive Criticism wanted!

Contrary to popular belief, length is not always a bragging point. Each track in this module is very repetitive. There are a number of phrases that compliment each other well, but the fact that they are largely just transposed and repeated twice does not do much to help the flow of the pieces. Pulse...

Re: One Instrument Song

Since one cannot copy and paste music from an older version of FamiTracker into a newer one, I covered the song directly from the NSF importer. NSFImport still supports saving to FTM's. One can copy and paste pattern data after opening that module in another build. Just because you "covered it...
