Re: Morning Hot Springs (FDS)

I really like this! It really does give off that relaxing, early morning vibe. Those DPCM piano chords sound great and blend with the rest of the song perfectly. Plus, around frame 04 it starts to sound like EarthBound music, which is always a good thing.

This is quality work. Keep it up :)

Re: Another 2A03 Collab

Here's my go. Just to clarify the rules, though, since there seems to be some confusion... Basically, we're supposed to build on the last frame added, add a new frame and do whatever with it, and then add another frame with some bits and pieces for the next person to build on, correct?

Common Tempo Values for PAL

A little while ago I was trying to convert a few of my songs to PAL format for curiosity's sake. I typically use this table on the wiki to help me select tempos. However, that table is only for NTSC mode, and I was unable to find an equivalent table for PAL. So I wrote a little script to take the Fx...

Re: Silent DPCM Samples

It's technically just DPCM artifacts, but it's impressive that you managed to make a song with it! BTW, you can actually cut the sample down to only 17 bytes (the smallest size FT will allow) and it still works. If you had a really quiet song it could potentially function as a melodic tone for very ...

Re: MM's doodles thread

Now, Frogoten Aera is a Hummer Team version of my song "Forgotten Areas" that I posted here recently. I sort of did this bootleg version as a joke. Ohhhh... I get it now. Great job on it, then, especially with the update  As for the others, Frame 02 in "Fight" was made afte...

Re: MM's doodles thread

Just some thoughts... "Son" is cool. As Overlord99 said, it does go into some strange, dissonant chords, but it's not bad. I've heard way, way worse, and a bit of dissonance can make for a mysterious atmosphere. If that's what you were trying to do, it works. "Frogoten Aera"... W...

Re: Post your old, embarassing crap here!

On one hand, it might be interesting to hear this turned into something listenable. I'm bored right now, so I got rid of the clashing (at least I think) and fixed up some volume issues, particularly the volume macro in the "big crash" instrument. It would be pretty cool to see this contin...

Re: Challenge Collab: One Blank Instrument.

So here my take on the subject. I usually never do original, but I guess there's a beginning to everything... :) Feel free to modify my part, there are probably some issue with chord progression and drums are kinda boring. Nice! The softer drums provide a break from the usual intensity of the song ...

Re: Post your old, embarassing crap here!

Oh wow. I actually found something I made way back in 2010, years before I ever considered using FamiTracker seriously (or was even aware that these forums and other chiptune communities existed). On one hand, it might be interesting to hear this turned into something listenable. On the other, that ...

Re: Heroism - 2a03 original song

Very nice! I could imagine hearing this while playing a tough action game getting that huge adrenaline rush. If I could make one very small nitpick, the triangle snare in frames 08-0B doesn't sound very snare-like... it would be more convincing if it either started at a lower note or didn't sweep do...
