Re: [VRC6] Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six OST (GBC)

Thanks for the responses, everyone! Man...I love this game's soundtrack! Freakin' Manfred Linzner at his finest. So many more people need to know about this game. I definitely agree. Sometimes the instruments even sound like something I'd hear in a Commodore 64 game. One thing I noticed while listen...

[VRC6] Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six OST (GBC)

Wow, that title's a mouthful to say. Hey guys! I just finished my biggest project in FamiTracker yet: an 8-song VRC6 cover of an obscure, late-era GBC game. This game was given to me over a decade ago by a relative. I never managed to beat it (the later levels get quite large and mazelike, something...

Re: Let's make NES covers from memory ITT.

I tried to recreate the Moon Theme from DuckTales. It sort of falls apart in the second half, but it was still a lot of fun to make.

Re: Post your instruments here!

Here's a set of DPCM percussion samples. By default it has a few types of kick drums, snares, and bongos, as well as a couple of drum rolls. It also includes two small samples intended for quickly adjusting the volume of the triangle/noise, without the popping you get from Zxx commands (they do emit...

"Arpeggio Length" Value

Hey guys! I'm sorry if this has been suggested before, but this is something I think would really benefit FamiTracker. I've noticed that people tend to avoid the arpeggio effect (0xy), because you can't define how long to wait before switching to the next note in the sequence. At 60/50 Hz, 0xy gives...

Re: [VRC7] Foggy Seas

Thank you both for your feedback! Loved the echo effect in the intro. I do feel that the first eight frames are a bit static though. Introducing something in frame 04 to build up or signal the lead coming in could help make your structure here more obvious. I was a little worried about that. I spent...

Re: [2A03] Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six - Credits

Very good cover! Sounds nearly identical to the original. The arpeggios can be a bit heavy, almost sounding like noise at times, though admittedly, this is how they sound in the original anyway. Thanks! And sorry for taking so long to reply. Yeah, the arpeggios do sound a bit weird. In retrospect, ...

[VRC7] Foggy Seas

Hey all, a little while ago I decided I want to try making something with that mysterious VRC7. This is my first serious attempt at using anything related to FM synthesis, and I still don't totally get it, but hey... it's something! :)

[2A03] Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six - Credits

Time for some obscure music! A bit of background... This was a game that managed to find its way into my GBC collection many years ago. Though I never beat it, I always felt the soundtrack was underrated. This is my favorite song in the game, so I decided to make a quick cover/remix for practice. En...
