Maybe use the DMC trick to reduce triangle wave volume during the stirring the pot sequence.

If you're interested in an old failed MOD conversion I made, I could post that. The volume column is correct, but the effects are sometimes wrong.

Using 8 Namco channels makes it sound really bad, use 6 channels instead.

Scorching back is missing the bassline, and sounds really hollow. When you're listening to the original songs for reference material, make sure you have a good pair of headphones. Likewise, when you are composing in Famitracker and listening to what you're doing, also make sure you have a good pair ...
