Re: .FTM Plugin

Reading back through this topic it seems there's some interest in having a vis that shows the patterns. That would be easy to do, also. Perhaps with an alpha channel overlay of the FFT for "coolness". ;)

I've found a vis plugin source and will start working on that next.

Re: .FTM Plugin

Thanks for the report.

I've uploaded a new package.

Googling reveals that perhaps the problem was missing Qt platform plugin, qwindows.dll. So I've added that.

Re: .FTM Plugin

I've uploaded a ZIP package of the FTM Winamp Plugin. How to install ============ 1. Close any open Winamp players. 2. Unzip the package over your Winamp folder. [On my work PC I needed to allow an "administrator" to do this...] 3. Open Winamp. Check plugin =========== Plugin should regis...

Re: .FTM Plugin

Noise is now synchronized with visualizer. What remains is to support song length for panning, and configuration dialog for loop or time limits for terminating "endless songs". Also I haven't yet found a way to hook into the <</>> buttons to have it select the previous/next track within an...

Re: .FTM Plugin

It's making noise, but in a cheating sort of way.

Not integrated with the visualizer yet, but once I stop cheating the player that'll also be done.

To integrate the FTM visualizers would require a separate visualizer plugin.

Re: .FTM Plugin

So. Quick observation. I have created a plugin that successfully loads and -- for the most part -- successfully initializes the FamiTracker Qt. There is one minor issue, though. Both WinAmp and FamiTracker support plugins. Both WinAmp and FamiTracker expect their plugins to be in <Executable Path>/P...

I managed to get all of the pieces together and have a plugin loading. Smooth sailing, perhaps. :D

EDIT: That moment when you realize that you're making your life too difficult. Not sure why I thought I had to build the plugin DLL using MSVC. D'oh!

Re: .FTM Plugin

FamiTracker Qt compiles all of the Famitracker functionality into a library. The front-end player I wrote for it was simply meant as a demonstration of the concept. Writing a WinAmp compatible plug-in that uses FamiTracker Qt library should be easy.

Re: Qt FamiTracker

Yeah I had a convo with jsr the other day about that. I'd sent him a bucket full of minor changes that drastically reduce the number of file differences between our sourcebases.

Qt FamiTracker

Today I successfully ported RtMidi [http://www.music.mcgill.ca/~gary/rtmidi/] into Qt FamiTracker. It satisfies the cross-platform MIDI device interface I was looking for. And in one source file, to boot! However, I don't have a MIDI device to test with, either input or output. Thus, when I release ...
