Re: (VRC6) Stickerbush Symphony
I know it's 2 months since you posted this, but this is a great tune. You did well with the cover.

Ah. I misread the post date on that... Just to show how long I've been gone from the place.

Re: Announcing 057-FamiTracker
Nice! It's been ages & honestly, since the current FamiTracker project seems stagnated, it looks like your update's now the de facto standard. Sorry for being late in the game; life's just been busy for me.

Re: Raspberry Pi port using Winelib
Sorry for the late reply, as life's been quite busy with me for a while (& I can't believe that my account's been here for just under 10 years). I should take more time to actually contribute here more. Anyways, I honestly think it's a neat idea to be able to cross-compile Windows-based ...

Re: A more accessible NSF sound?
To add to this, here's another sample song that can illustrate my tips a bit better. I've set the instrument's duty cycle to 50% (which is like typing V02 in the effects column beside the first note of both square channel). I've also made sure that the volume of my lead melody's square channel isn't...

Re: Are there ways we could improve interest in these forums?
Well I'm still the only guy who hasn't switched from FamiTracker 0.3.0 yet! I think what also contributed to the forum not being as busy as it used to be is because the original members that were around back in FamiTracker's heyday are also getting older, living busier lives (jsr & myself ...

Re: A more accessible NSF sound?
Well, if I may add something here... It's not that the NSF specification itself isn't "accessible," as much as it is the technical limitations of the original hardware. VRC7 itself, as Teuthida suggested, would be a good starting point when it comes to creating music that won't grate sensi...

Re: hi. an explanation and an apology.
What people don't realise is that copyrights last 70 years for individual authors or content creators until renewed; copyrights for products created by corporations actually last 95 years until renewed. In other words, if Koji Kondo only composed the theme music to the Legend of Zelda as his own wor...

Re: Noise as a Drum
What you can do is use both the DPCM sample & a note on the noise channel, with a quick volume fade.

Re: hi. an explanation and an apology.
Using someone's music in part is obviously not stealing. Using it in whole is non-obviously (it seems) not stealing. It really honestly all belongs to God and (given) to Man, not only to specific people by themselves. Even without religion in the picture, it's actually nicer to have your work ackno...
