Re: [VOTE] BRAINSTORMING - Collaborative Videogame OST Cover Project
Not only that, but even if a soundtrack has been ripped, why should that stop us from covering it? Considering that we can't simply cut & paste a music rip of any N64 game or XBox 360 game into FamiTracker, we'd still have to use our brains to transcribe what we analyse into FamiTracker. In othe...

Re: [VOTE] BRAINSTORMING - Collaborative Videogame OST Cover Project
You'd be surprised, man. Have a look at HCS' forum & you'll see what music people have ripped. Plenty of games from systems made after the year 2000 have been ripped, but good luck trying to find those rips covered into any chiptune format (& even then, many people in the scene have done tha...

Re: Why are non-official modules not allowed to be posted?
About the FTMs not crashing the program or glitching out; thanks for that. The more I learn... 8-) I think you quoted the wrong part of my post. Aren't you talking about the TNS-HFX4 I linked? Yes; I quoted the wrong thing entirely. Thanks for pointing that out. But yeah; that cartridge is one hell ...

Re: Why are non-official modules not allowed to be posted?
I would like to point out that 0CC's main (and original) feature wasn't even multichip - it is the arpeggio scheme that has been long requested in FT itself. While I respect the final decision, and I respect your position, you chose a very bad example to use =P EDIT: Personally, I have only used mu...

Re: Why are non-official modules not allowed to be posted?
Glad we're jumping to the insults now; totally helps your point I don't understand why it is so much to ask that people say that they are using a beta build, especially a beta build which is not backwards compatible with any previous builds. I mean, just make an announcement about it if it is too m...

Re: Forum suggestion: Remove "FamiTracker Home" from navigation
If I recall correctly, I know that (at least in PunBB) you can rearrange the links' position on the page. For example, you can actually swap the Forums & Home links with each other.
I'm not sure if this is possible in this forum, though.

Re: Idea: Collaborative Videogame OST Cover Project
I see your point. I also think that it's because many newer people seem intimidated over the fact that there are others with varying degrees of skills (some who are pros) & they feel they can't really compete with them. It's a shame, though. In any case, I'm also making a basic cover of a song f...

Re: Famitracker with QT repository?
If you look on FamiTracker's website, you should have a search for FamiTracker Qt in the old forum's archive. But ultimately, it doesn't matter which is the most updated because the official FamiTracker has nothing to do with these forks (though it's highly encouraged). This said, cpow of NESDev &am...

Re: Idea: Collaborative Videogame OST Cover Project
Why not a cover of the Super NES game Secret Of The Stars? It's a pretty decent RPG & the soundtrack itself has some pretty nifty effects. I also have the SPC files for the game & they're easily found on Zophar's Domain (plus it's a good excuse to test the new FamiTracker 0.5 release). What ...
