Re: Help... How do I make this twice as fast?

Halve the speed value. If you only want a part to be twice as fast, use the Fxx effect by putting a F03 where the sped up section starts and a F06 to restore to the original BPM. If the tempo were 180 BPM instead of 181, assuming other default settings, you can just replace the note cuts with equiva...

Re: How to find out what notes there are in a cover song?

In SPCPlay you can mute and unmute each channel until you have soloed the channel you want, and then slow down the song up to 25% the original speed. If you can identify the notes in other parts, you can identify those notes after many tries. Always trust your ear rather than any MIDI transcription....

Re: Space-efficient key changes

FamiTracker abstracts away track synchronization using frames, so you cannot find loop commands that are available in some sound engines and MML compilers. Old versions of FamiTracker did have a track-local loop effect though, but the commands were automatically emitted by the NSF exporter, and inac...

Re: "Import Wave" option for N163 instruments

Honestly, if you can select a single cycle in Audacity, it won't take significantly more time to use furrykef's N163 plugin thing, and that altogether takes less time then saving the cycle as a separate file first then importing it via FamiTracker.

Re: "Import Wave" option for N163 instruments

The resulting code should look like the DPCM WAV import part. To be honest, single-cycle waveforms are a lot harder to find than general looped wave samples.

Re: NSF Import and problems mimicking instrument vibrato

The pitch envelope in Journey of Silius is configured by command E7, followed by a delay in number of ticks and a pointer to the sequence. Stage 1 uses this command 4 times: ⋅ Pulse 1, 00:00.00, 8-tick delay, $97FB ⋅ Pulse 1, 00:10.67, 24-tick delay, $97FB ⋅ Pulse 1, 00...

Re: FamiTracker 0.4.6 SN76489 Mod

New version is up, there is now an effect that makes notes on the noise channel reset the LFSR state even when the pitch remains the same (something I just realized that the 2A03 pulse channels should also have).

Re: FamiTracker 0.4.6 SN76489 Mod

Version 0.2.0 0.2.1 can be found here . After this I need to return to my other projects for a while. One of the commits adds stereo functionality to the tracker's audio output. This can be backported to FamiTracker if one day it is decided that the official branch will have some sort of stereo supp...
