Re: Tropical zone (VRC6, BETA 5)

The solution to repetition is to, well, stop repeating. Try making small variations to whatever is being repeated to break the pattern. That's not to say that repetition doesn't have a place. If you look at the Pokemon TCG soundtrack you'll notice a TON of it. Just about every sound starts with a si...

Re: Outside (VRC6, BETA 5)

What I'm saying is that it lacks emotion. I'm sorry to say this, but the best way to fix it would be to rewrite the melody. If you think you can tweak the melody into something more "expressive", that would be good too.

Re: Outside (VRC6, BETA 5)

Hmm... This sound a lot like like an RPG Overworld theme! Is that what you were going for? I think the melody's quite weak, though. The accompaniment sounds fine, though.

Re: Swing's Back in Swing (beta)

Re: 7 songs, looking for someone to teach me more about intrument editing

The key to stuff like that is practice and experimentation. I'd recommend finding Famitracker songs that contain something like what you're looking for and study what makes them sound like they do. Should that fail, just mess around with the instrument settings and take note of what each setting mak...

Even for an old one, this is neat! The notes in the first "verse" are off, though. I haven't listened to the original in a while, so I'm not so sure of that.

Re: Corruption (2A03)

This sounds pretty cool! I can definitely imagine it in a game. I think the volume control is a little off, though. I can barely hear the triangle!

What particular parts of the instrument editor don't you understand? If you tell me, I can give better advice.
