Re: First FT song, and first post (2A03)

Wow, those graphics are amazing! I feel like this song could easily fit any or those 3 images, but the first one fits the most imo. Frame 08 sounds a whole lot better now, it sounds more cohesive and less distracting. You could probably break off into a different melody at that point, as you said. I...

Re: First FT song, and first post (2A03)

Wow, it sounds like you're either doing this for technical reasons, or this is actually going into an nes game. Either explanation would explain why you did those optimization tricks. Also, that table is remarkably thorough.
I came up with a possible way to do frame 08 as well:

Re: We use to be friends [2A03 + VRC6]

The main melody of this song and overall feel is so catchy and bouncy, I love it! I especially love frames 34-37, and the end at frame 40. I have a couple of problems with this song, mainly the percussion. It's rather weak, and it lacks any punch. I feel like the VRC6 is underutilized here, with the...

Re: First FT song, and first post (2A03)

This song is very impressive for a first song, you've got some talent! The melody and atmosphere are suitably eerie, nice work! I noticed that you used 1XX and 2XX for note slides. I think it's a bit easier to use QXX and RXX for portmanteau instead. In frame 08, the two pulse channels clash a lot, ...

Re: Party Animal (2A03) [BETA]

I enjoy the bouncy and upbeat melody (you're good at those), and that speed up from 0A to 0E was very well done too.
Nice work!

Re: Small imaginary cat game ost [beta]

This is really good for a first composition, simple yet effective. I like it!
I agree with arethere, you should use multiple instruments for noise percussion to give the notes more impact.
Also that battle theme is great, and welcome to the forums!

Re: A Bit Axe-essive (MMC5 + FDS)

I like the intro, but it sounds very empty, needs more substance. The rest of the song has a good direction and I like the melody, but it isn't executed that well. It's almost excessively loud, I understand it's a battle, but keep the volume a bit lower (the percussion in particular is very loud, bu...

Re: Sonic CD JP Boss - MMC5 (BETA)

I'm honestly rather surprised that you decided to cover such a complex (at least sample-wise) song on famitracker, but the end result is actually pretty good. It sounds very noisy, just like the original, and the DPCM sounds particularly funky. Good job!

Funk it up [VRC7]

Here's a short song I made using VRC7, it might be a part of some random soundtrack someday.
Enjoy!

Re: [VRC6] Mega Man Alpha - Melting Point (Gold Man's theme)

Nice remix!
I think the DPCM drums give the song more of a punch, however, I think some of the notes in the middle of the song are a bit too low and make the song a little bit muffled.
Other than that, it sounds good.
