Re: Something Dark, Something Edgy, Something... Funky? (WIP)

Neat.
The first thing I noticed was that... all of the intervals are thirds. Almost every one. I don't know if it's possible to pull that off without sounding a bit boring, but maybe it's just personal preference.

Re: How to recreate this kind of sound?

Btw I'm not sure you're entirely aware, but VVVVVV wasn't compose for the NES. It's fakebit and adheres to no chip limitations. So you're not gonna get the same kinda sound as it. You are right, but other than the Midi Drums, it really only uses triangles and pulses. In my opinion N163 should work ...

Even More DPCM problems

Is there a way to make it sound good?
If so, then how?
If not, then what do I do?
I tried RJDMC as well as the regular importer, and everything has noise.

bongo1.wav.txt
The .wav file I imported (remove the .txt)
(31.35 KiB) Downloaded 46 times

bongo1.dmc
The gross .dmc that resulted
(865 Bytes) Downloaded 46 times

Re: Post your instruments here!

A VRC7 Chiff organ. a bit of backstory to this. I'm making a VRC7 thing that the world isn't ready for yet. The two other times that I used VRC7 before, I just used the presets. Hence, I'm probably more proud of this than I should be. I think I still don't know how the whole custom preset thing work...

Re: SMB OST VRC7

Not bad, but... Did you just rip the exact original notes to the VRC7 chip? If you did, then FYI the triangle channel plays notes an octave lower; Lower the octave on the baseline in every song. Otherwise, it sounds nice. Nice use of the custom patch for the beat, but I would increase the feedback t...

Re: Bad Apple, then Good Apple VRC6 (Remix WIP)

I have no criticism.
Mostly because I don't know what it's from, but also because it sounds amazing.

Re: Hypothermia [VRC7]

The level music sounds like Mega Man
but the boss music sounds like an RPG
Both great.
