Re: Fade out/in effect not working?

Didn't look like it... I added a few Axy effects myself (on N163 Wave 1 channel) and they worked perfectly.

Re: Fade out/in effect not working?

It would help more if the attachment included examples of where you're trying to use the effect and it's not working ... but, judging by what IS present so far, the problem is the 2A03's triangle channel is fixed-volume (i.e. on or off) so volume effects just won't work. You can of course use Axy on...

Thanks for noting that, FTMs made in the 0.5b are not loadable in 0.4.6 due to breaking changes in the FTM format. (NSFs are still playable of course.)

Re: [MMC5] Dialga's Fight to the Finish! (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon)

Good mix, those chords really do work (ironically, this makes the verse's switch from chords to plucks a little distracting). I've never been a fan of DPCM heavy percussion personally but that's just me. Dialga's battle theme is hands-down one of the top 3 tracks in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon serie...

Re: "Blank" Measure Working in Tracker but not in NSF?

Without seeing the actual module, ...maybe? Don't forget that the parameter differs between Bxx and Dxx: Bxx - Jump to frame #xx, row 00. Dxx - Jump to next frame, row #xx . Ruling that out, why it operates differently between FT in-program versus in a compiled NSF I can't answer. HertzDevil can giv...

Re: could not save file error

And you don't have the file open in any other programs, right? A lot of programs will lock down a file when you open it....

Alternately, can you Save As to a different file name, Export it (to a .txt file), or can you not do anything to save the module at all?

Re: Inconsistent DPCM volume - ramps up and down

Keep in mind that the Triangle, Noise, and DPCM channels are all output from the same pin of the 2A03 chip, so whatever's playing on one channel can affect the perceived volume of the others. (This also happens with Pulse 1 and Pulse 2.)

Re: Swing tempo

Technically speaking, swing isn't about tempo, it's about meter . Previous thread on this subject (October 2016) . But regardless, there are basically two methods: A - Use alternating Fxx commands where one value is double the other (e.g. F08 F04). Then arrange the song using two rows per beat. Adva...

Re: How to find out what notes there are in a cover song?

One method I occasionally use in Audacity is to select a range where there's a note of interest and then do a frequency analysis of it, setting the graph mode on autocorrelation instead of raw frequency spectrum. Then I look for the largest peaks in the graph via mouseover and Audacity identifies bo...

Re: "File is not a vaild Famitracker Module"

So, no changes or saving to the file in the meantime? Hmm. In my case, the one FTM I lost occured right after my PC had suffered a 100% system freeze (suspected to be a thermal freeze). How possible is it to build a file-recovery feature into FamiTracker (any fork) ? I admit that I haven't done basi...
