Re: Thunder Helix (VRC6)

This is great! I love all the arpeggios (interesting how you de-tuned its echo on a single channel!)

I could get more in-depth, but I'm not sure: Would you mind if I critiqued the song?

Re: Pokémon Memories - A 20th Anniversary Remix Album (need some feedback!!)

Lush Forest: Great job with the melody! I love all the little details you got from the original song, and I love the vibrato you added on the strings later in the song! I think there are a couple of things I should mention though: - The song is a tad slower than the original, maybe try alternating b...

Re: [VRC6] Bright Prophetic Wine

I love the V01/V03 out-phasing effect at the start of the song! I suppose there are a couple of things you can try if you're feeling uninspired: - Make sure you're listening/arranging music as much as you are writing it - Be adventurous! Try experimenting with new things, and see what works/doesn't:...

Re: Suggestions?

Hey, it's nice to see you again! I'm guessing you are trying to use a 4/4 kick, snare, kick, snare rhythm for this song. The thing is, this song actually uses a different, compound time. I'm not going to get too technical even though i pretty much just did anyway lol, but know that your song is cur...

Re: Ascent (VRC6)

The rhythm in this edit is definitely more interesting, although I'm starting to think one of the bigger problems is that the Noise channel's percussion rhythm feels a bit chaotic. The rhythm for most of the channels playing are already playing on the off-beats, and I think what you need is a rhythm...

Re: Libera me from hell (Guren Lagan)

Sounds like you got most of the notes right, except there's one problem: You set instrument 01 to have an arpeggio of 15, which de-tuned all notes using that instrument into a different key, ultimately affecting the entire song. If you meant to increase the octave, the arp should be "12", ...

Re: Ascent (VRC6)

I'm hearing a lot of improvement here already! I love the new additions you've made to the song, and it's definitely sounding a lot more interesting now. I'm not sure how well I conveyed my message about the rhythm, though. I'm saying that the song has a "one, two, three (hold)" rhythm goi...

Re: CrestCurse (VRC6), Complete

I'm happy to see this finished! I love your use of VRC6 for all the extra harmonies, and I enjoyed the tracks you added since I last saw this. I like your melodies, although I feel like something is lacking... I'm not sure how to pinpoint what bothers me though, but it's probably just stylistic pref...

Re: Ascent (VRC6)

EDIT: Ninja'd! I love the lead in your edit, Livoh773! I think one of the secrets to using DPCM/Triangle is realizing that you can't change volume on them. If you lower the volume on everything else dramatically, you can level out everything. Considering this song uses the VRC6 expansion, consider v...
