Re: Target Practice (2A03) [BETA]

As someone who relies heavily on a plethora of instruments, I am immensely impressed. Well done!

Re: Emulating a certain percussion

1. You're absolutely right. Sorry 'bout that.

2. I oughta experiment with that once I get some sleep. Thanks for the tip!

Re: Megalovania Rubicon[MMC5]

Well gosh, I'm not one to write covers, but if I do end up writing one myself I suppose I might go for a more jazzy rendition. Maybe slow down the tempo, change the key for a more chill vibe, something like that.

Shucks, now I gotta do one, don't I?

Re: Megalovania Rubicon[MMC5]

Overall this sounds positively swanky. A nice original take on everybody's favorite skeleton song.
Though, the only issue I had was with your snares. The delay they have seems to throw the rhythm off a bit.

Emulating a certain percussion

While this isn't exactly a cover, I felt it would be more appropriate here than in the original works section. Long story short, I'm looking to emulate the percussion featured in the beginning of this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btR4qRSTTbs It sounds almost like some sort of cymbal, but ove...

Re: Strike Together [2a03]

First off, that bassline is kickin' all sorts of behind. Like Teuthida said, the opening does sound a bit cheery at first. Though, when the song loops back around with the tone already established it sounds fine, so you do you. You could probably leave it as is, but go for it if you come up with a s...

Porchlight [2A03] (Version 2 bois)

I think I'm starting to get back into the swing of things. Whipped this one up just today. This tune sorta draws inspiration from those kinda simple, easy-to-play southern guitar songs. Somethin' ol granpappy would be playing while sitting out on the front porch, or something like that (Hence, Porch...

Re: Skellboy Complete Soundtrack (VRC6) 0.5b

This soundtrack is a perfect example of how to get the most mileage out of a good melody. Like, all the songs seem to come from the same base but they're done in such different ways that they still manage to be their own separate things. Truly inspiring.

Re: Hippo (VRC6)

I suppose you could consider speed 1 as "future proofing" it in the event that you chose to add a particularly intricate string of notes. It's quite intriguing to hear such diverse sounds and instrumentation without having set up any actual instruments. I suppose that's what effects are fo...

Re: Beautiful Pestilence [VRC6] (Old song)

I absolutely love the percussion in this song. Especially around frame 6, those samples are puttin' in all kinds of work. The song as a whole definitely maintains the feelings of dread and tension you probably intended to invoke, so overall I say good work. In terms of actual criticism, how do I put...
