If you get a message from him, I would advise you to ignore it; I'm convinced this is a scambot.

It is good to be skeptical, but a report function exists for PMs...

Also, VirusTotal is a good service for checking URL safety.

Spambots are generally not capable of creating FTMs.

I found it rather fishy that they would post the FTM on a third-party website...

Also, VirusTotal cannot determine the safety of a file which is uploaded on a site... only after it is downloaded (which I would not do on sites that I have no past knowledge with) and scanned.

...although I did not realize the report function of the PM. Sorry about that.

To be fair, you can't directly attach files to PMs with this forum software.
Nevermind, you can. I guess jsr enabled that feature for PMs lately.

PMs can indeed be reported, and you can also attach files on them. Anyway, regarding this, I'm not sure what to do in this case? If you guys have verified already that the guy is not intending to do any harm here, then I guess no further action is necessary. Report this stuff to us instead of making a public thread about it next time.

@phillipPbor: If you somehow see this, maybe it's not really fit to PM users directly in order to ask for help if you're new, especially in such a sudden way. Maybe if you weren't so new here it would have been easier to achieve what you wanted. I suggest making a new thread if you need help from others for now.
