Quick answer: Not gonna happen! :)
Hi! I'm not really active here anymore but I still make music. Nowadays I mostly make dubstep with emphasis on good melodies and chord progressions.

I don't think jsr would want to add this feature into vanilla famitracker, because it would be so easily exploitable. It would require no talent covering other 8-bit songs using this feature, just a lot of copying. Plus that the purpose of famitracker is to create music for the NES and famicom, not to have a super detailed look at other people's work.

Unless you have sources to provide where he explicitly said those things, I'd avise you not to speak jsr's opinion on his behalf.

NSF Import is kind of a messy hack, just kind of duct-taping NotSoFatso onto Famitracker, spying on it as it plays an NSF and dumping the result into Famitracker. Personally, I wouldn't want to incorporate it into the main branch as-is, and including this stuff would mean having to maintain it with every new version of Famitracker too.

I did say "I dont think jsr would want to add this feature into vanilla famitracker", but I will keep that in mind. Sorry!
