For almost no reason, I fire up FT and immediately set the expansion chip to N163, 4 Channel or 6 Channel, depending on how I think it fits first.

Then I start creating the Instruments, either 00 is for N163 or 2A03, it's random.

I slowly build the song structure I had roughly done in FL Studio and expand it more in FT, casually listening to the song for more detail (just like DAT ADAM - DFA with the Hihats).
slowly ceasing to exist.

I sometimes go with something like

F04
F03
F03
F03
F04
F03
F03
F03

if I don't feel like deleting the excess Fxx commands. I eventually delete the unnecessary F03 commands when I'm done composing, though. I tend to do a lot of cleaning up.

Sometimes I use last row in preceding frame to cancel 4xx or similar effect instead of using 2nd/3rd effect column in next frame.
If anybody knows where i can download FMPSG albums please let me know.

I will always do this if it means I can keep everything to 1 effect column.

The whole point is to not use extra effect columns, though.
