NicolasMaeder wrote: Now since you stated in another post in this thread you could update the rules for specification of quality files, are "&nnpL1fY" and "NumberXJ@2hqi!" quality files? If so, then how, but if not so, then why?

from a technical standpoint, they're interesting, from a musical one they're repetitive, overfilled/way too busy, and often try to make use of the tracker in ways that aren't intended at all or simply impossible so they don't sound good. I have to say though, they're great as patch slide tests when they don't crash my hardware player (the playback record is something like 43 seconds before total failure). Rushjet1 even exported a version where all the channels were isolated and didn't interact, and they sounded totally different.

Basically what I'm saying is, these threads are intended for me to record music for people on hardware, and your files
1. aren't technically music (they do follow a rhythm, which is extremely unusual for new members)
2. break my player

I spent the last few hours trying to balance the volumes between the VRc7 and the 2A03, though I have no idea how this is going to turn out on real hardware, especially the distorted guitar patch.
Two loops are just about 2:00.

Thanks in advance, this is one of the few covers I made that I really want to hear coming out of a real system.

Hey, I'm curious about the volume balancing on hardware of the attached song, so it would be great if you could record it. It's 3 minutes long and it uses the N163. Thanks.

How they are balanced will be specific to IaTM's hardware. If you were to do the same recording off jrlepage's cart, I know for a fact that the vrc7 is mixed a bit softly compared to the 2a03

You said that, so can you attach Rushjet1's version(s) of "&nnpL1fY" (and "NumberXJ@2hqi!") to your next post in this thread?

Not that I have more than one left to do, but hardware recordings are temporarily canceled due to the death of my Famicom (RIP 1984-2016).

as soon as I get another one (and you know I will soon, I pretty much can't live without it) I'll start back up again, but for now I'll sit in depression and worry.

Alright, got in my replacement FC, as well as a new toy, the TNS-HFC4. This is the previous-model TNS cart with the built-in RP2C33 which means hardware-accurate FDS mixing, hardware accurate cartridge mixing when not using the expansion board (it has a cart slot like the HFC3), and the ability to use all 6 expansions at the same time when using the expansion board. This and one or two other points will be added to the OP.
