Here's my 2 cents on this:

Game: Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time & Majora's Mask

Playlist: Kokiri Forest
Hyrule Field
Death Mountain crator
Gerudo Valley
Forest Temple
Fire Temple (from rev. 1.0)
Water Temple
Shadow Temple
Spirit Temple
Ganondorf's Tower (organ recital)
Termina Field
Stone Tower Temple
Pirate Fortress
Final Hours

I think it should be covered since these aren't only classics (in the sense that the N64 was among the first consoles to have such a rich level of audio, alongside the PlayStation & Dreamcast,) but because I feel this would really challenge people into figuring out how to use whatever expansion chip(s) required to their fullest potential. It'd also be a great test for newer FamiTracker versions with multichip.
Technology: the one thing that's hated & cursed at by all engineers, technologists, scientists & technicians!

while i agree with this, if you guys do not want to cover NES/Famicom games, then dont vote for it. with this many soundtracks being asked for, i doubt many would vote for an NES one, since all you guys have the same notion of not covering NES songs, then votes will probably not go to those specific soundtracks.

Then I suggest EVE: Burst Error on the PC-98 complete with PCM86
Slowly working on a thing called "FaMIGA".

Some suggestions:

Game: Super Mario 3d World
Playlist:
1. Title Screen
2. World 1 (MACHO, MADNESS OH YEAH IT'S MACHO MADNESS)
3. Super Bell Hill
4. Course Clear!
5. Switch Scramble Circus
6. Captain Toad Goes Forth (not new, but still iconic)
7. World Clear!
8. Conkdor Canyon
9. Double Cherry Pass (yesssssss)
10. World 3 (I skipped 2 because it's just a variation of 1)
11. Shifty Boo Mansion (2spooky)
12. Bullet Bill Express (this one screams SMGalaxy)
13. Sprixie Princess Theme
14. World 6
15. Bowser's Lava Lake Keep
16. World Bowser (this covers all variations on this theme)
17. Miss! (why not)
18. Great Tower Showdown 1
19. Final Curtain for Meowser (I was going to make a meowth joke but then I realized it was the wrong cat)
20. Credits Roll
21. Super Block Land
22. World Crown (just rolalinas observatory but that piece is an easy 10/10)
23. Champion Road (again SMG but i love SMG's ost)
Why should the community cover this OST: Fun, nintendo jazzy classic compositions but still a new ost.

Game: Super Mario Galaxy
Playlist:
1. Overture
2. Star Festival
3. Enter the Galaxy
4. Good Egg Planet
5. Rosalina in the Observatory 3
6. Honeyhive
7. Battlerock Galaxy
8. Buoy Base Galaxy
9. Gusty Garden Galaxy (yesssssss)
10. Luma
11. Gateway Galaxy (Galaxygate!!!)
12. Course Select
13. The Toad Brigade
14. Airship Armada
15. The Fiery Stronghold
16. Chase the Bunnies!
17. Heavy Metal Mecha Bowser (I can hear the noise 1/3 duty cycles already)
Why should the community cover this OST: This needs absolutely no explaination. It might just be nostalgia, but SMG sticks out as having an amazing soundtrack, and more of the same reasons as above.

Game: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Playlist:
    Metamorphosis 1
  1. Prologue
  2. Dance of Illusions
    Moonlight Nocturne
    Prayer
  3. Dracula's Castle
  4. Dance of Gold
  5. Marble Gallery
  6. Tower of Mist
    Nocturne
  7. Wood Carving Partita
  8. Door of Holy Spirits
  9. Festival of Servants
    Land of Benediction
  10. Requiem for the Gods
  11. Crystal Teardrop
  12. Abandoned Pit
  13. Rainbow Cemetery
    Silence
  14. Lost Painting
  15. Dance of Pales
  16. Curse Zone
  17. Enchanted Banquet
  18. Wandering Ghosts
  19. The Tragic Prince
  20. Door to the Abyss
  21. Heavenly Doorway
  22. Death Ballad
  23. Blood Relations
    Metamorphosis 2
  24. Final Toccata
  25. Black Banquet
    Metamorphosis 3
    I am the wind
  26. Vampire Killer (Sega Saturn)
Why should the community cover this OST: One of the most definitive Castlevania soundtracks ever, seeing that Metroidvania games are popular in general in the recent years. The wide variety of sounds provides opportunities to think of how to convey the atmosphere and feeling of each track, with or without DPCM. Also for the reason I gave above (streamed music only, no sequenced data); although Castlevania music is often arranged into chiptune, most of them pose little challenge to anyone with the proper auxiliary tools that extract sequenced data, myself included (since FCM7).

Game(s): Ys I, Ys II, Ys III (NEC PC-8801)

Playlist (Ys I)

Playlist (Ys II)

Playlist (Ys III)

Reason: Varied pieces of music, fair amount of tracks, some challenge in finding the instrument parameters that best match the feel of the original.

VGM packs are in the attachments as well. Should be playable by modern VGM players and plugins.
