How to recreate this kind of sound?

If you've seen my other post you'll probably be able to tell that I'm pretty new to this. I'm currently attempting to cover this song, and if you listen to the beginning, you'll hear that kind of echoing sound. I'm not really sure how I'd be able to recreate that in Famitracker, so at the moment, I'm just doing the notes. I'm wondering if this would be possible to recreate, at least to some extent.

Thanks!

Sounds like a slow fade-in rather than an echo. I don't know, though. Try it, see what happens.

I'm getting a: "This file was made in a more recent version of Famitracker, please download it to open this file." I have 0.4.6, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Ah cool. Going to take a pretty major reprogramming after I'm done with my current format, but it should turn out well.

Btw I'm not sure you're entirely aware, but VVVVVV wasn't compose for the NES. It's fakebit and adheres to no chip limitations. So you're not gonna get the same kinda sound as it.

You are right, but other than the Midi Drums, it really only uses triangles and pulses. In my opinion N163 should work fine.

Yeah, I've ran into that problem a few times, although it's pretty easy to emulate, which I find kind of fun.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'm currently finishing up the notes and basic mastering of the sound.
