Can we keep all the completed covers somewhere, like a dropbox folder or something, so one doesn't have to look through both threads to listen to them?

Miniscule changes to Don't Go Off (Removal of DPCM and using VRC7 custom patch for bass, chords now use patch 7) in addition to a 2A03 and MMC5 version if that is fine.

EDIT: I also added an MMC5 version of Space Walk.

^ This guy knows what's up. Would be really nice to have them all in one place and watch the list grow. This also ties into another question for later down the road:

How do we want to compile the cover album?

Obviously we can have them all as .ftms in a folder, but how much cooler would it be to have them all as mp3s (or even wavs) like an actual album?? I do a bit of studio work here and have access to Pro Tools, so I'd be happy to mix all the tracks into an album if that's okay with everyone. Obviously we'd have to come up with some standards over all the tracks first to keep everything consistent (what dB to normalize to, how many repeats each track should be, shape/length of fade outs, etc), but once we do that it should be pretty straight forward. And just as a note I would NOT be editing the tracks with any effects like EQ or compression or anything -- I believe the tracks should stay as true as possible to the original .ftms so fade outs would be the only real edit.

Let me know what you guys think! I know it might early to already be discussing this, but just thought we should have some sort of plan looking ahead. It would make sharing our project with friends much easier. :)

I think this was also mentioned on the competition thread - we could have an official ft forum bandcamp and release cover project as albums there. That would be pretty cool.

In order to express some of the things in the originals I think the VRC7 covers went with higher volumes for the FM channels... now if the clipping behavior is accurate in Famitracker then I suppose they'll be alright, I was a little hesitant about going above B with any channel to be honest. Oh and the NSF export still treats Sxx as an instant cut (I assume it sets channel volume to 0 along with triggering key-off) so that's a bit of a problem for VRC7 covers.

ALRIGHT here's what we got so far https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sp8wijtdn2ps ... XS5Fa?dl=0

i'll get someone with the hardware to record these when it goes live for real, but for now we're at https://famitracker.bandcamp.com. i'm opening up three slots in the OP for the following:

- banner artist (975 x 180)
- logo artist (at least 480 x 480, square)
- album artist (at least 700 x 700, square)

Nice, looks good. I'm assuming since my cover's in the folder it's ok to post here?
This is a cover of Because You're The Number One in VRC6.
Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuZ9EhSA6xk
Frames 00-08 are the original base and the new additional stuff after that is my original work.

I'm also gonna grab Silvery Light of the Moon (Normal Ending).
I was going for Sand Hell, but if I remember right there was someone else who wanted that, so I'll leave it for now.

I'd like to take Stage 7 please! Surprisingly these aren't that difficult and I got excited because I accidentally made a nice sounding guitar for it.
