N163 Import

Postby Sylveon » Wed Aug 05, 2015 2:48 pm

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/702 ... Import.zip

This was written a long time ago. I never got around to fixing bugs in this horrible code mess, but people might still have a use for it, and it kind of works, so~

Features:

- Supports N163, S5B and multi-chip NSF files
- S5B/multi-expansion files require famitracker 0.4.2 or 0CC-famitracker
- More accurate FDS import in some cases

Of course, this software is unsupported, so I'm not going to fix any bugs. ;)

Darn, I really want to try this out but it says it isn't a valid win32 application on XP. I hope you can at least fix that. :(

Oops, looks like I accidentally used my 64-bit compiler for this~

Fixed ;)

At least he was kind enough to fix it. Any problems with this? :P

btw Sylveon, from your description, I don't really understand what this program does (I haven't got a chance to try it yet), so may I ask what does it do?

It's basically NSFImport, with N163, 5B and multichip support and extra bugs!

Seeing as it's built on the "other" NSF importer, it leads me to think this only works on FT-generated NSFs. Is this true?
EDIT: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, IT'S NOT TRUE

It fucks up the triangle and noise pretty horribly, but that don't matter. I'm only interested in the expansion bits. Is there any way to select the song to import, or will I have to hex edit the NSF and change the starting song?

EDIT: seems that hex editing the file doesn't work. damn.
Slowly working on a thing called "FaMIGA".

I guess I will add a way to export multiple songs.......... I completely forgot to implement this obvious feature -w-
