Well, from my mistake and what I can gather, my power went out as I was working on the song. Normally it just wouldn't save what you worked on, but there's a slight chance it'll corrupt making you loose all your progress.

To prevent this, just enable backups (File <Configuration <General settings). Another way to prevent this is to save frequently under two files. For example, take two files under the same name and list them as 1 and 2 (SONGNAME 1, SONGNAME 2). This is so that if the off chance one file gets corrupted, you can open the other.

That's interesting. I generally use laptops, which don't require to be hooked in 24/7, and I still have files corrupted every now and then. So that's either one of the causes, or something else happened. That's a good tidbit of info though, and creating a backup generally does help.
