This might be actually just be user error, but occasionally I'll get this error when trying to open other folks' songs. Though, I'm fairly certain I downloaded the latest version. It's v0.4.6, right?

Nah, there's a 0.5.0 beta: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=173

It's been in beta for a long time so don't hold your breath for a stable release, but a lot of people here use it so it's pretty handy to have if you wanna download FTMs.

Would also be handy if people followed the rules we have in place that say you should mark your post/attachment/filename to let others know you've made a module in the beta.

This doesn't always happen with newer versions of FT, it's just that the 0.5 beta makes breaking changes to the FTM file format (for example, row highlights are now song-specific not module-wide).
