Constant distorted sound/hum for any/all instruments
I'm on a Mac and recently found a download of Famitracker that someone made using Wine, I used Famitracker in the past but for some reason any instrument I make, the sound has a weird distorted warble/wave/hum that doesn't sound pleasing. if anyone knows what to do in this situation id be really happy
thanks

Do you have a video or anything of what's going on?

You may have to crank up the buffer length in File > Configuration > Sound. I too use FamiTracker in Wine, and my buffer length ended up at 70 ms. It usually needs to be longer in Wine than in Windows. If you see "underrun" notices in the status bar when the distortion happens, then buffer length is the most likely culprit.
The drawback of a longer buffer length is more lag between you press a key to add a note and when you hear the note.
