What are the steps to reproduce it?

EDIT: Nevermind that, totally a stupid way to phrase it....

Is it possible that you hit the [-] on the pattern editor in the top-left by mistake?
Sometimes I wind up stumbling on that when I hit space to go into edit mode, after having changed a pattern number. Nothing's lost, and it's nothing more than a minor annoyance.

Also, attachment.

Okay, my bad. I meant it in more of a "approximately what were you doing at the time?" way, but....

Well, yes I realize I phrased that in a stupid manner, but ANY information about what the OP was doing when this happened would be of help. And Sirocyl suggested an alternative explanation that might overrule the report, but we don't know if that's the case.
