No offense, but honestly it's awful. Even for a first it's not very good. Try making covers first, because then you'll learn the different techniques required to make good music.
Hi! I'm not really active here anymore but I still make music. Nowadays I mostly make dubstep with emphasis on good melodies and chord progressions.

I'm not really good at doing covers since I can't do things by ear very well.

Dig into some music theory, get sheet music and cover simple and well known tunes like tetris or the super mario bros. theme. Also look at essential effects like fine pitch, vibrato, duty cycle.
Remembers me of a thread a while back.....

I've used other music creation programs such as lmms and garageband before, just not famitracker.

Ho boy, there's a lot of issues here. I'll address them in the order which I saw them.

1) There's no percussion, and therefore, no real beat. This would work fine, but the song sounds much emptier without them.
2) The issues with clashing are pretty bad. Use the Pxx effect to detune some of the notes and make them sound a bit more chromatic. (P80 is neutral, so do not stray too far from there.)
3) The triangle channel, besides being desynced, does not fit with the melody very well, at all.
4) The song is too short and repetitive.
5) Most of the song is empty. The content just isn't there.

Fix these issues in your future works and you'll do fine.
I have permanently switched to 0CC-FamiTracker. If and when JSR decides to update vanilla FamiTracker at this point is entirely out of the question for me.

You can still do covers. Rainwarrior made an NSF import tool that allows you to see the notes and volume patterns of any imported NSF file.

Aaaaand you blew it out of the water with this one. I don't know if Fyuchanik feels this was a nice or bad thing to do.
