Bluegrass Meadow Under The Moonlight (VCR7)

Postby LokiStriker » Mon May 30, 2016 12:04 am

When I wrote the first three channels of the VCR7 in guitar, I knew it was better off in FamiTracker as I'd be with a different "instrument"...

Not that much to explain, got around using DPCM for once; I feel that lacks in the "lead" department in a way, tho Im really pleased with the chords I got goin' here...
The title is just what I imagine when listening the song.

Hope you enjoy, open to criticism, or if you feel like remixing.

I dunno why I was expecting actual bluegrass music

Sounds good. I think it's a little repetitive but maybe it's supposed to be?

Like ZeroJanitor, I also thought this would be bluegrass. Either way, I like it! There's one thing to keep in mind, though; if you're not using an Axy effect on your channel, you don't have to keep putting volume control on your notes, just once will do.
A squid with a higher post count than the NES can handle.

Regarding "Bluegrass" I thought people would think the same as you guys, I may change it into "Lavander Fields Under The Moonlight", so I wont be mistaken xD, after all the concept of "blue-grass" is just an invented scenery, which would be more logical if it was something like a lavander field or another kind of blue-ish tone plant....

Enough with that, anndddd YES, it feels a bit repetitive, I was kinda afraid of that, as I said it "lacked in the "lead" seccion", so because it doesnt have a main melody, it feels a bit lost or too much of the same, I might edit it and try to add a lead. Thanks for the feedback.

I'll take that on account more oftenly, I sometimes forget to erase it, as sometimes that is not the final edit or instrument, and it has sustained notes/effects/etc or so... So yeah, I shall clean a bit more so its more organized. Thanks for the feedback.

Cool song, very ethereal sounding. Loove the sound on the first 3 FM channels.

However, I noticed you have volumes set on your triangle. On the NES, the triangle channel's volume can't be controlled. It's either on or off.

Yeah, those three are the core of the song. Those I made first, I build the whole song around them.

Oh and Triangle is the same as the third FM channel, thats why it has volume (copy+paste) and I dont get around to clean up xD.

I've done some cleaning on the track, tho, its still the same.

Thanks for the feedback.
