Re: One of my first songs
I normally try to be relatively kind when I criticize, but I just can't do it for this one. There is, quite frankly, nothing redeemable whatsoever about this "song" whatsoever. I would scrap this, learn/study music, and only return to the forums once you've achieved much more skill at Famitracker.

I will be agreeing with Teuthida (btw your music on your YouTube is pretty dang sweet, I gotta throw that out there). It lacks rhythm and order, and is overall very unpleasing to the ear.
And it came to pass...

It's supposed to be funky on purpose. Even the instruments are funky too. By the way, I am just a beginner, so yes, I need more practice.

Well... at least the name is fitting...?
But really though, this is just overall bad. No offense. Also, I'm not one to point fingers, but this sounds like you just threw a bunch of notes and instruments together and called it a day. Try some actual percussion and rhythm next time, and just keep practicing. A lot.

Here's a bunch of stuff you probably need to know.

The thing is, even if it's meant to sound weird, why would you make that your first song you ever post on the forums? You only have one chance to make a first impression, after all.

Re: One of my first songs
If there's one thing to praise - Pulse 1 is, while fairly out-of-key, a solid foundation for a melody. Like, I can hear the potential for one but it ain't quite there yet. Tweak it a bit and you might be able to use it in a future song.
Re: One of my first songs
Going off of Chippybippers, I tried to "remake" the song so to say on what the melody could be like if you were to turn it into a full song.
What I can recommend is to go look at other songs on the forum and see how they did it - try to do similar things yourself in FT, see what sounds good and doesn't, ect.
