Classroom [N163]

Postby Proteun » Wed Mar 08, 2017 9:50 pm

I'm mainly using FamiTracker for video game composing, but then my neighbour, who is also a teacher, asked me to make a tune for students to hear when they're taking a quiz. It's for some kind of research and he gave Kahoot as an example, so I thought of something stressful yet catchy. I made good use of all the standard channels (the pulse and triangle channels each have a separate function in addition to chord notes on the offbeat), then realised a slower melody and accompaniment would fit the atmosphere well and added the Namco channels.
The FTM file.

I'm getting the hang of this music. Currently working on an NES-style project with Link-NM from NovaTech Gaming.

Stressful? Yes.
Catchy? Yep.
Awesome? Heck yeah!
I love the chord usage and the urgent beat of the song that gives off a tense feeling. I'd enjoy taking a quiz while listening to this!
Don't copy that floppy!

There's pretty much nothing there, but y'know, just in case.

This is a pretty good example of using N163 properly, I must say. It fits the mood of "taking a quiz" very well, with good usage of mixing and chords.
I like the chips and the tunes
