Old Enough to Drink (VRC6)

Postby SableGuy » Wed Jun 14, 2017 5:47 am

Hey pals, I wrote a song in 21/8 and I wanted to share it and hopefully get some feedback on it from y'all.
I feel like my production is really thin, and I have no idea how to fix it, as a lot of the more complex aspects of this software seem to just go right over my head.

Thanks!

The reason it sounds thin is because you use a lot of similar-sounding instruments, and you have no effects to spice these simple sounds up. Another thing that may be making it seem sparse is your continuous use of staccato notes and long pauses between melody sections.
