10.2.2. (S3M and 2A03 versions)

Postby PinoBatch » Fri Dec 15, 2017 6:14 am

I composed a fakebit piano ambient piece in ModPlug Tracker in August 2006. It was my attempt to imitate the style of "5.1.1." by DJ Nagureo (RemyWiki | YouTube), a Beatmania IIDX song that also appeared in Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. I was intending to make steps for it in StepMania to teach ways of crossing a double dance pad.

In March 2012, I remade the piece in FamiTracker, but its percussion was underwhelming. Fixed arpeggio envelopes on triangle have been a cornerstone of my 2A03 drum kit since the release of Thwaite in 2011. But FT didn't have them until 0.4.0, released in 2012-09-04,[1] and I didn't learn about them until December 2015.[2] So this week, I revised the FTM to bring the drums up to my current standard.
