EDIT: forgot to mention Fallen Down is 0.5-only - needed detune settings to be accurate to the original.

Cover #43: Dating Start! (VRC6) (placed 29th)
By Toby Fox, from the game Undertale
Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtYwq4aBr0E
Fell in love with this one when I heard it in-game. I'm a sucker for this kind of thing (also see Turnabout Sisters, Out With My Girlfriends).
Pretty straight transcription for the most part but I loved doing it and listening to it.

Cover #100: Fallen Down (MMC5) (placed 112th)
By Toby Fox, from the game Undertale
original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B69GfSqEZEs
Pretty short and simple but I loved the vibe so I had to cover it - and happened to do that during the submission period.
I can understand why it ranked so low, though.
Still better than most of the covers on youtube though.

Cover #130: Sleigh Ride (MMC5) (placed 13th)
By Leroy Anderson
I'm amazed this one did so well after I basically covered it on a whim off the top of my head.
I really like the bossa style and the types of chords that can be used with it - I'd like to do a longer/cleaner bossa cover for next year.

Freestyle #19: Brahms Piano Quartet No. 3: III. Andante (2a03 + viola)
Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSGkGeLdGks
I had high hopes for this one but got quite burnt out by the end, so it turned out pretty bad.
I think people appreciated the concept and the amount of work that went into it, though, so I'm satisfied with it.
I think I'll improve my recording setup and try something similar next year.
Check the compo page for the mp3 download and my extended list of excuses for why it sounds bad, I won't attach the mp3 here.
I am attaching the module, which includes the viola part on FDS (and some placeholder double-stops in the DPCM channel).

Unsubmitted WIP cover: Prism (MMC5)
By The Chick Corea Elektric Band
Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T9_5ffoOi4
I put a lot of work into this one, but I started to get bored with it after a while and didn't have the motivation to finish it.
I think it's pretty well suited to NES sound, though, and I'm happy with what I've got here.
I had to transcribe it up 3 half-steps so the pulse bass could go low enough - it's possible I could've done this with engine speed instead but I didn't consider it at the time.

Unsubmitted WIP cover: Frozen Hot Sauce (2a03)
by Lifeformed, from the game Dustforce

Just a little draft that I gave up on. Nice tune, but I couldn't pull it off properly in 2a03.
