Treasure Master Covers! (2A03) [BETA 5]

Hey everyone,

I've decided to "cover" the Treasure Master OST by opening up NSFImport and translating the output into a more coherent module, using a reasonable speed setting and multiple (very many) instruments. I intend these to be as accurate as possible, but I've made a few concessions here and there, mainly with pitch slides and vibrato.

I'm doing this as an exercise to both better familiarize myself with Tim Follin's style and to gain a deeper understanding of Famitracker. As I cover each new song, I'll update this thread. Let me know if you hear anything that's off, there's bound to be a few mistakes. Thanks!

Very cool! I'm actually turned my 4XY commands into instruments as well to make the vibratos more accurate. My reasoning for not doing so in the first place was to save space for other instruments, as I planned to do the entire OST on one module. But that proved to be not very likely, so I'm splitting them out into their own modules. I'll post my updated track 1 as soon as I finish tracks 2 and 3.

This is is my last combo post. Just here to say that I'm finished with the soundtrack finally! Check the updated OP for the tracks. This was definitely an informative experience. Here are a few things I learned:

• How the frequency register works
• Exactly how the 4XY, QXY/RXY, 1XX/2XX, and PXX commands work, in terms of frequency register units (it was on the wiki but I never needed it until now)
• FamiTracker stores data in the clipboard as a struct of six ints (24 bytes) containing information about the selection followed by a series of structs for each note selected, each one containing 4 unsigned chars and two arrays of 4 unsigned chars, totaling 12 unsigned chars (12 bytes). This knowledge was more useful than you can imagine
• I made modules for each respective A0X/volume combination and NSFImported them to see how that works
• How to express a phrase meant for speed 6 while in speed 5
• If imperfect triplets are good enough for Tim Follin, they're good enough for me

My favorite track has to be 6, though 3 and 1 are close runner-ups.
