I agree, the latter segment of the song does sound weird. For frames 25 onward specifically, it's because all your staccatos (note cuts) line up perfectly across almost all channels, so instead of having a fast-paced flowing feel (like the original) it feels choppy. Maybe instead of doing note cuts here just alternate the volume to quiet? Try things...
