- No more than 2 or 3 requests at a time
- Make sure you specify how long the recording should last, including no more than two overall loops
- Make sure you specify the expansion you used, if applicable
- If your NSF uses the VRC7, make sure you exported it using Famitracker 0.4.1 or later
- If your NSF uses more than 15 kB of DPCM data, make sure you exported it using Famitracker 0.4.3 or later
- Finally, be patient! I might not get to your request within hours of you posting it, but I'll get to it eventually.
These two rules...
- No multi-expansion NSFs
- No FDS or 5B NSFs as I do not own the necessary hardware for those
FDS audio mixing circuitry enabling me to use all 6 expansions at the same time if so desired. NSFs exported with the official build of Famitracker have a problem when
using the envelope generator on hardware (the volume MUST be enabled in a macro if using the envelope), and Famitracker 5B NSFs in general (both 0.5B and 0cc-FT) have
envelope generator issues when used with a real Gimmick! cartridge. Regardless, 5B NSFs will be recorded using the YMZ since Gimmick!'s amplified output is way too fucking loud.
FT mixing volumes:
- 5B: +6.5 - +7.5 dB (0cc-FT), +3 - 3.5 dB (Official FT)
- FDS: -3 dB
- VRC7: about -3 dB
There are a few things that remain the same, though, and a couple of differences.
- No PAL recordings. I don't own any PAL or Dendy hardware, so this isn't possible for me right now.
- No over/underclocking. TNS hardware can only play files at the standard 60.09Hz
- No extremely large files or odd drivers. The TNS can usually load 1MB files with no problem, but SuperNSFs, it2nsf, and spc2nsf either glitch, break, or refuse to play at all.
- No MMC5. This is only temporary, I'm waiting for a copy of Just Breed.
