"Import Wave" option for N163 instruments
"Import Wave" option for N163 instruments
Similar to how you can import DPCM samples, it would be useful if you could do so with N163 waves too. In this case, instead of begin samples in .wav format, they would be "shapes" (or "single cycle waveforms") in .wav format. Trying to draw the waveforms accurately can be a bit of a pain sometimes, so it would be a really helpful feature.
Re: "Import Wave" option for N163 instruments
HertzDevil has released a lua script that converts .wavs into N163 instruments; try that.

The resulting code should look like the DPCM WAV import part. To be honest, single-cycle waveforms are a lot harder to find than general looped wave samples.

Might be hard to find, but easy to make. Just take a sample of the sound you want to the single cycle waveform from (or create one in any DAW if you want to), open the sample in Audacity (or similar audio editor), select one cycle and export it

Where can I find this? Although it would be convenient to have this as an "built in feature"

Honestly, if you can select a single cycle in Audacity, it won't take significantly more time to use furrykef's N163 plugin thing, and that altogether takes less time then saving the cycle as a separate file first then importing it via FamiTracker.

I would also like to know how to use Hertzdevils lua scripts. I am not familiar with with lua.
