While I give you meme points, you seem to not understand how VRC7 volume works. On the VRC7(and 5B), volume is exponential rather than additive: every two volume steps down halves the volume, so successive volume drops severely quiet the notes. Therefore, the volume swell you were going for in the lead just ends up making the quieter notes inaudible.
A squid with a higher post count than the NES can handle.
