Trying to Find An Author of a FamiTracker Track

Postby Sinis » Fri Mar 30, 2018 4:50 am

I really don't know where to post this up so if this is in the wrong area mods please move it :)

I'm trying to find an individual by the name of Jacquio or DrJacquio as I'd like to seek his permission in using his track, Howling Hybrid, for a Castlevania hack and modify it to the appropriate sound channels. The FamiTracker track was shown to me by a friend of mine a few days ago and they said it was from around 2013 or so. I was curious if anyone knows where to locate them or know where to contact at as I really don't want to use the track without permission. I have tried to search for them on here but there are so many names to go through let alone pages.

Snake's Revenge Instruments

Postby Sinis » Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:26 pm

To avoid any double posting, I am going to include another question for the community here in my thread.

How in the world can I get the instruments out of a NES game and put it into FamiTracker? Been wanting to get all of the instruments used within Snake's Revenge but don't have a clue on how to do this. I've recently taken up the task to do FamiTracker on my own though not a clue on how to obtain these instruments. If anyone can provide this info it would be deeply appreciated :)

If you have a .nsf file of the game, you can use NSFImport (a fork of vanilla FamiTracker) to convert the file into a Speed 1 .ftm module. From here, you can create instruments based off of the volume and pitch effects used in the module.
A squid with a higher post count than the NES can handle.

Appreciate the info. Going to see if I can even do this. Went solo recently as I felt I was overburdening my previous FamiTracker composer so I'm picking this stuff up myself. My hearing isn't great these days due to allergies in the summer months so we'll see on what happens here :P

Well, as much as I hate to admit this I cannot understand this. I can put some songs together slowly however when it comes to try and replicate the instruments its too tedious for my tastes and I'm not the type of person to play hide and go seek for said instruments.

Embarrassing to say, I'm hating to admit that I'll need help on this. Where do I need to inquire about this here on the forums for assistance from someone on getting all of the instruments for Snake's Revenge and send it, or post it, here in a FamiTracker sheet?
