Post your instruments here!

Postby sirocyl » Fri Jul 31, 2015 8:27 am

I guess I'll start this off here. :D
Be descriptive! Please include information with your instrument, such as which chip it's for, and the type of synth (DPCM, square, noise, FM/VRC7) and role of the instrument (snare, bass drum, lead, sfx, etc.)

I'd like to ask that all submissions here be labeled as coming from "vanilla" (0.4.x), "beta" (0.5.x) or "0CC" (any version of 0CC-FamiTracker) for compatibility purposes.

Beta instruments cannot be used on vanilla or 0CC; 0CC instruments cannot be used on vanilla or beta; vanilla instruments work everywhere, and are preferred.

It's assumed that the instruments posted in this thread are free for anyone to use without permission or credit unless otherwise stated.
Do not post instruments here that you did not make, without permission from the original creator. It's assumed that the original SOYW rules apply.
(mod/admin note: If that's a problem, feel free to let me know, or change it.)

I'll begin with a couple DPCM instruments I've made from another console's/computer's sounds.
Both are used in covers from the respective machines. You're free to do whatever with them.

Here's a set of DPCM percussion samples. By default it has a few types of kick drums, snares, and bongos, as well as a couple of drum rolls.

It also includes two small samples intended for quickly adjusting the volume of the triangle/noise, without the popping you get from Zxx commands (they do emit a slight "click", but if you have other sounds going you can't really hear it.)

The samples are also optimized for size, with the entire set taking up just under 2 KB, so it could be especially useful for homebrew games and other instances where filesize is an issue.

I made an almost FM sounding piano/bell sound for the Namco 163, thought I'd share it with you guys. Credit me or don't, doesn't matter.
